Balls Story

*Disclaimer: Contains some vulgar words. The character and incident portrayed are fictitious. And any similarity to actual experiences is purely coincidental and unintentional.

My balls are itching and the unfortunate thing is, I can’t even scratch them. Well, I suppose I can just grab and do some scratching down there until the itch goes away. Only problem is, I’m in a public place. The train, to be specific. I’m not perv enough to scratch my balls in public. I would have been able to do it if the train’s crowded. Right now though, it’s damn spacious. Less passengers are taking the train at this hour. You can practically change seats if you want. Few people are standing by the door. I reckon I can get off at the next station however I can’t afford to be late for my appointment. I try squeezing my legs together in a less conspicuous manner but, hell, the itch is too persistent.

Another problem, I’m not in a very good spot. You see, I’m sitting right next to a bunch of professional-looking people. Most of them are women too. I don’t want to get caught dead scratching my balls. Maybe, I should try diverting my attention to other stuff, that way, I’ll forget about the itch. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. My mind chooses to stay focused on the itchiness of my balls. The harder I think about other things, the more itchy they get.

I’m two stations away from my destination. I know I can’t hold it any longer. It’s getting more itchy by the minute. I’m a desperate man. Pointing at any random building outside, I blurt it out as loud as I can: “Oh my God, there’s someone in that building trying to jump off!” And like magic, it works. All heads turn at the direction I point out. During those nanoseconds where every attention is glued at a scene that doesn’t exist, I grab my balls as fast as I can and pinch-scratch them.

Have a Safe Trip

It’s supposed to be my VL (vacation leave) today but I don’t feel like it. For one thing, I don’t have something to do. I’m not even going out of town, which funnily was the reason why I applied for VL in the first place. We were planning to go to Baguio today. It was an officemate’s idea. I’ve no clue what happened or why everyone was backing out. They said it’s not a good time. We’ll go next time instead. I’m not really upset, I myself isn’t exactly in the mood to travel. With the weather being unstable, I’d rather stay at home, read a novel or maybe dig up some old write-ups for revision.

I also feel a little lonely. There’s a definitive lull in the air punctuated by the gloomy afternoon sky. Lately, I’ve been feeling a lot like this. It’s somewhat disconcerting. I should learn how to deal this type of emotion. Sigh…

Maybe I should go to work, cancel my leave. Better yet, I have to suck it up and forget the drama.

Let the Sunshine In

Who would have thought she’s gonna be on the show? I didn’t. And actually when there was a rumor about her guesting on Glee, I instantly rallied on the idea, at least in my mind. She didn’t seem to belong there. She would just look off.

When I saw the second season opener however, I got excited for Charice. Never mind her dorky looks, the lame acting or her Americanized accent. She totally nailed the song “Listen” as her audition number which is already her signature piece. Will she be back next episode? It looks like it. The rivalry going on between her and Rachel is something to be looked forward to.

I lost interest with the first season but now that there’s an exciting addition, I might as well include Glee episodes in my weekly ‘TV show downloading’ ritual.

Dating Ako

Nami-miss ko ang dating ako.

Enthusiastic sa buhay. Ang daming pangarap. Adventurous.

How Well Do You Know Ricky Lee? Sabi ko, paborito ko ang Kadenang Bulaklak niya at nagagalingan ako sa kanya.

Despising Despicable Me

Cute sila.

TV and Traffic

I hate most movies buses show on their flat TV screens.

I know I shouldn’t give a damn over their film choices because my ride doesn’t take more than 15 minutes but it’s still an agony watching a terrible flick while you’re stuck in Buendia. I don’t mind if it’s Survivor Philippines or Noah. They’re tolerable anyway. I just can’t stomach those bad DVD copies of Chinese films, with pixelated pictures and irritating subtitles. It would have been such a treat if the movie has a decent picture quality or correctly subtitled. It helps you forgive the traffic.

Maybe next time I hop inside the bus, I have to make sure their TV screen is showing either TV Patrol or 24. If not, well, too bad for me.

Vampire Diaries and More

So my favorite TV shows are back for regular programming. Survivor. The Vampire Diaries. The Modern Family on Wednesday. Brothers & Sisters on Sunday. And Glee which resumed today. Well, I don’t really look forward to watching Glee. But since I’ve seen the first season, I reckon to give it another shot this time. The first few episodes were interesting but as the plot progressed, there’s really not much going on with the show. It’s all production numbers with little value. The song numbers were becoming a bore too. When I learned that they’re nominated for a number of categories in Emmy this year, I didn’t really root for them. Honestly, Glee didn’t deserve to be on the list.

Survivor. I’m a huge fan of this show. I love the social dynamics of the game as well as the tough challenges. Of course, the bread and butter of the show is its characters. Boring contestants means lame season. After seeing Heroes vs. Villains last season, I got hooked. So I downloaded the previous seasons. It’s fun to see Parvati, JT, Coach, Cirie, Amanda and James play in their past Survivor stints. I got to see their techniques in playing the ultimate game of Survivor. James was lovable in China and Micronesia, so it’s a bit of a disappointment to see him get villainous in Heroes vs. Villain. Parvati’s a total b*tch in Heroes… but seeing her performance in Micronesia made me actually root for her. It’s such a shame that she wasn’t able to covet the title in Heroes.

The Vampire Diaries. What can I say, I’m totally interested with this show. Gorgeous cast. Fast-paced storyline. It’s an adrenaline-induced show. The threat and foreboding in every episode is enough to make your heart beat fast.

The Modern Family is addicting. Excellent ensemble. No weak link. It kinda feels like Brothers & Sisters, which can be the reason why I love the show in the first place.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to watch the most recent episode that has just finished downloading. :-)
